On February 28, my husband David and I had the pleasure to host a special dinner at our house coordinated by the Beyond Tolerance organization.
Seven guests from diverse religious backgrounds came together for a meal and a moderated discussion about their faith and personal beliefs. It was chance to learn from those who differ from ourselves, and an opportunity for deeper reflection on those perspectives that unite us as humans.
The Beyond Tolerance organization coordinates a number of events each year, including this annual dialogue dinner. This was a valuable experience to help build bridges in the community, and to develop a greater empathy for people that I might not often interact with. I’m thankful God provided me with this growth experience.
