Rwanda Presentation: July 21 at 10 am

In March 2019 Dr. Kelly McFall traveled to Rwanda with a group from the PCUSA’s Presbyterian Peacemaking Program.  Kelly is a professor at Newman University and a genocide scholar.  This trip integrated Kelly’s faith and scholarship.  Join Kelly on Sunday, July 21, at 10 am for a presentation, “Me who has already been destroyed:” Remembering and Forgetting Genocide in Rwanda,” on his trip. This presentation takes place in the Grace Parlor.

Swim Party Cook Out: July 28

Grab your lawn chairs and pool towels on July 28, and join us at the College Hill Pool.  We gather at 5:45 pm for dinner.  Grace provides burgers and hot dogs; you bring a side to share. The pool is open for swimming from 6:15-8 pm at no charge. The College Hill Pool is at 304 Circle Drive, 67218.  All are welcome; bring a guest!

Kings Worship Series

Join us for a look at the books of I and II Kings. From June 16 – July 7, we dig into stories of greed, corruption, abuse of power, sometimes goodness, and always God’s faithfulness. Catherine Neelly Burton preaches on Sundays from Kings at 9 am and 11 am, and Martin Burch teaches an adult Sunday School class at 10 am.

Mission Spotlight June 2019

The Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church USA.  PDA responds to disasters around the world, including the recent floods in the Midwest.  One way PDA responds is by distributing buckets filled with clean-up supplies.  In effort to restock the warehouse with buckets, the Presbytery of Southern Kansas challenged congregations to donate money for this purpose.
