economy corner

Economy Corner Update

As you may know, the Economy Corner store located downtown is permanently closed. The building will be demolished due to structural problems that are too costly to repair. The next step is to get rid of all the household items and clothing that have been graciously donated. Since most items are winter clothing, there is a giant garage sale here at Grace Presbyterian on Thursday, February 1, and Friday, February 2, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, in the Great Room. Clean-up is on Saturday, February 3. All money made at this sale is being donated to mission projects, both local and national. First Presbyterian Church is bringing items over and helping with the sale.

This is quite an undertaking, so help is needed! If you have a few hours to help or have questions, please contact Chris Alexander at 316-209-5698.

Note: This sale is to liquidate the items we have so that no additional donations can be accepted!

Update on Economy Corner

As you probably know, the Economy Corner store is now permanently closed. The building has major structural problems that were too costly to repair, so now the building will be demolished. The task at hand is to get rid of all the household items and clothing that you all have so generously donated. The decision has been made to hold a giant garage sale at Grace. In keeping with the Economy Corner tradition, all money made at this sale will be donated to mission projects, both local and national. First Presbyterian is bringing items, and they are helping with the sale. Since most items are winter clothes, our sale is February 1-2 in the Great Room. This is quite an undertaking. If you could spare a few hours to help or have questions, please contact Chris Alexander at (316) 209-5698.

(This sale is to liquidate the items we have, so please, no more donations.)

bp Another great resource is the BibleProject.

They are starting a new weekly series of scripture reading, videos, reflections, and prayer focusing on Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount.  This is a one-year focus so that you can dive deep into this teaching of Jesus. Follow this link > They also have a wealth of other studies that you can use, from podcasts to short Bible book introductions to full college-level class discussions.  All of their content is crowd-funded, so you pay nothing unless you wish to support them.  So, check them out.
