Church Information

Each month on the first Sunday you’re encouraged to take home a re-usable yellow grocery bag, put some non-perishable items in it, and bring it back the next week, or soon thereafter.  Our contributions this month go to the Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church food pantry.

One year ago, the Grace Session formed a task force to consider designating a space on our church property for the burial of ashes. The task force studied the idea, visited other churches that do this, and made a recommendation in favor of this to the Session.  The congregation was invited to come and learn about the proposal to talk with the session.  After all of that the Session voted in favor of the proposal.

Join Pastor Catherine Neelly Burton in reading through the Book of Acts. During the month of June, and the first Sunday of July, our worship texts all come from Acts. Gather with Catherine for five Tuesdays at noon to read through the book. We’ll read out loud through several chapters each week. We’ll pause for discussion and questions as they arise.
