Yellow Bag Sundays in December 2015

Each month on the first Sunday, you’re encouraged to take home a re-usable yellow grocery bag, put some non-perishable items in it, and bring it back the next week, or soon thereafter. This month our contributions go to Operation Holiday. Operation
Holiday is part of Interfaith Ministries and served over 12,000 people in Wichita last year providing them with food, coats, and gifts.

Last March our Session began serious conversation about same-sex weddings and Grace Presbyterian Church. This conversation was in response to a change within our denomination, the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA). The decision about whether or not to perform same-sex weddings on church property is now in the hands of each congregation. Operation Holiday Volunteer Day: December 12

We need your help! Every year Operation Holiday (Interfaith Ministries) serves over 12,000 people. Operation Holiday provides food, coats, and gifts for families in need.

On Saturday, December 12, we sort donations to Operation Holiday. We did this two years ago and sorted coats and thousands of canned goods. It’s a fun, active way to serve and do something good for people of all ages. Children and youth (with an adult) are welcome.
