Church Information

• The Grace Session met on December 20, 2021, in the Grace Parlor, with three Session members on Zoom.
• The meeting was opened and closed with prayer.
• Catherine shared about an initiative proposed by Brent Johnston (pastor at First Pres Wichita) to coordinate the Wichita area churches in a cooperative Lent. This would include a shared theme and a pulpit exchange. The Session was interested in participating and Catherine will pursue this.
• We celebrated the fun and successful Hanging of the Greens event.

On Sunday, February 13, we gather for one worship service at 10 am.  Following that service is our annual congregational meeting.  In that meeting the congregation will vote on the terms of call for Pastor Catherine Neelly Burton, hear a report and vote on a slate from the nominating team, receive the 2022 church budget, hear from staff, and have the opportunity to ask questions.

Kids Lead Sunday is February 13 at 10 am.  It’s a wonderful day of worship with Grace kids leading us and Jennifer Snook preaching. There’s still time for children to get involved. All kids ages 5-12 are invited to practice every Sunday at 10 am in the Excavation Station. The children are learning the books of the Old Testament. Please consider memorizing those books in support of our children.

Save the date for our Youth Talent Show. Join us in the Great Room at 7 pm on Sunday, February 27, for dessert and a talent show presented by church youth. This is a fund raiser for the summer mission trip, and you will have the opportunity to donate.

We started 2022 with service! On January 2, over 100 people gathered in the Great Room for worship, but it wasn’t worship like a normal Sunday. Instead, we packaged 22,000 meals, bags of beans and rice.  We worked with the Outreach Program to make this happen.
