Each month Grace invites you to contribute to our “Yellow Bag” Sundays.  Yellow reusable grocery bags are available in the building, and you are encouraged to fill them with the item of the month and return them to Grace. In March we collect food, and our donations go to the food pantry at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Wichita.  Please bring non-perishable food items to Grace by Sunday, March 28.

We have a new team at Grace, the Good Neighbor Team.

The Good Neighbor Team works in partnership with the Code Enforcement Office of the city and county. This office looks for volunteers to complete physical labor at the homes of people who are at risk of going to court for code violations and do not have the physical or financial means to complete the projects.  Projects include things like yard clean up, demolishing a broken shed, and lawn mowing.

The Grace Mission team sent $1000 to the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) in February to support their work in southern states hit hard by the cold weather.  You may read more about the work of the PDA here >>

• The Grace Presbyterian Session met on January 25 on Zoom for its stated meeting.
• The meeting was opened and closed with prayer.
• The docket and minutes were approved.
• The Session voted to return to in person worship on February 7 (while still offering streaming) with one worship service at 11 am. All precautions from the fall in-person services will be in place.

Grace has a new outreach.  We are calling it The Care Letter Ministry. Sending a card with a hand-written message (or a hand-written letter is fine) goes a long way in lifting the spirit of a shut-in, the homeless, or incarcerated person.  We kicked off this ministry by writing letters to  elderly people residing in a care facility.

In March our cards go to the Wichita Children’s Home.
