It’s time for our annual Stewardship Emphasis Season. Our theme this year is “Choose this Day.” This phrase found in Joshua 24:15, is part of the worship text on Sunday, October 16. This call from Joshua to the Israelites is the culmination of years of journey through the wilderness. Joshua challenges the people to choose who they will serve as they enter the Promised Land.
We selected “Choose this Day” as our stewardship theme because every day, we choose who we serve and how we serve. Following God, and living as Christ’s disciples is an active choice we make each day. Choosing a life of faith is not a one-time event. Each day we decide how we honor God with our choices, from how we treat others to how we share of our resources. Join us this October as we consider how we choose each day to serve our Lord as individuals and as a congregation.
