Each year we gather to worship on Maundy Thursday, the Thursday before Easter. On Maundy Thursday, we commemorate Jesus’ last supper with the disciples. Some years we worship with a Tenebrae service. Last year we experienced the Living Last Supper drama.
In 2015 and 2018, we worshiped in homes, and we do this again this year. Recognizing that the Last Supper happened around a meal, you’re invited to share a meal together. There are multiple locations for this. Four Grace homes are available, and there are small groups at Grace in different rooms. You bring a dish to share. After a potluck supper, those at the dinner share a short worship and communion service.
Signup on Sundays or by calling the office, 316-684-5215.
The homes are:
- Kevin East and Emma Wingert (home near the church)
- Janice Farenholtz (Andover) – must be able to navigate stairs
- Terry and Anne Woolsey (East Wichita)
- Bill and Amy Woolf (Andover) – must be able to navigate stairs
If you prefer a traditional service, you are invited to travel with Scott Randle to Wellington, KS, where he leads worship. Those going to Wellington meet at Grace at 5:45 and leave at 6:00 in a carpool. The worship service is at 7:00 pm.
