Calling all Grace women: we’re going on a retreat. Join Pastor Catherine Neelly Burton and Melissa Buteyn for a road trip to Mo-Ranch in Hunt, TX, May 19-22. Mo-Ranch is a Presbyterian Church USA retreat Center, and while it’s a long drive to get there, we think it will be a grand adventure.
This is what Mo-Ranch says about the conference:
Each year, hundreds of women from across the region gather together for the Mo-Ranch Women’s Conference. Take a break from the busyness of life to recharge physically, mentally and spiritually. Conference activities include keynote presentations, worship, fellowship, recreation, free time and workshops.
- Create an inviting and safe environment for growth and renewal
- Hear God’s word through inclusive and intentional worship
- Reach a diverse cross-section of women by culture, age and background
- Celebrate and be good stewards of God’s creation
- Practice inclusiveness, radical hospitality and joyful fellowship
- Allow a place to reconnect with ourselves, God and each other
The keynote speaker for the retreat is Sarah Bessey, and in addition to worship, and workshops, there is time for rest and recreation.
We leave at 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 19, drive partway and spend the night in a hotel. We arrive on Friday, May 20, and return to Wichita on Sunday. The total cost (subsidized by a Grace designated fund for women’s retreats) is $200 per person and includes travel, housing, and food while at Mo-Ranch. Scholarships are available.
We can take 10 women, and you must sign up by April 15.
